You made it!

Congratulations to you for making it through the weekend! I hope you have all had a chance to recover yesterday 😊 If you haven't already, submit your game to our itch.io feed. This is an important part of the weekend, and the longer you leave it the less likely you are to do it. Go spend five minutes and throw something rough up (and publish it) now.

If you have submitted, go take a look at some of the awesome games made! At the time of writing, I see 62 teams entered and 36 games submitted.

Through the weekend I saw a bunch of you wearing cameras or recording parts of the event - awesome! You can add all that here, or send me a link and I'll deal with it: https://photos.app.goo.gl/duejGiH2ff5Exsny7

Terrible Ideas Hackathon

In two weeks on August 2nd-4th is my last event in New Zealand, and it'll be a fun one: the Terrible Ideas Hackathon:

Terrible Ideas Hackathon - Make something weird in one weekend.
Terrible Ideas happen everywhere – from pottery to programming. Join us in Aotearoa, Australia, and the UK for a 46hr challenge to create and celebrate terrible, awful and brilliant ideas.

This event is all the best parts of a hackathon concentrated into a weekend of silly celebration of the best and (importantly) worst of creating things. You can make anything, and it's free like Kiwijam. Bring your friends and teammates for a great weekend! Register here: https://terriblehack-4-akl.lilregie.com/

One more time, Kiwijam this year was brought to you by:

Last but not least - a gentle plug for our Code of Conduct. If something happened during the weekend and we missed it, it's not too late to let us know. Bad vibes, complicated conversations, as well as bullying and harassment are all things we'd love to hear about.

That's it for Kiwijam 2024! This has been Zac, signing off for now. If you'd like to stay in touch, you can find me on Instagram here or on my website

Ngā mihi,
